The definitive record of running

The world's most advanced running database.

Every meet. Every split. Every athlete. Running Result is being built to pull scattered youth, middle school, and high school results into one queryable source of truth — from a Tuesday night dual to the state meet. We are starting in Ohio, and building outward from there.

What we are building

Results are easy to post.
They are very hard to compare.

A 19:04 on a flat, fast course is not a 19:04 through a muddy back field in a headwind. Rebuilding that context — course, conditions, field, and grade — behind every result is the whole job, and it is what we are building toward.

One athlete, one career

We are stitching every result a runner posts — first club meet through senior-year final — into a single profile, de-duplicated across timing companies, that follows them from grade to grade and school to school.

Course intelligence

Cross country is won and lost on the course. We are modelling elevation, surface, footing, turns, and race-day weather per course, so times run on different ground can finally be compared on honest terms.

Progression tracking

Personal bests, season bests, and grade-level marks, plotted from a first youth race through senior year — so a breakthrough turns up in the data before it turns up on a podium.

Built to be queried

Filter by grade, level, division, league, or district. The aim is to pull the exact field an athlete will line up against next weekend, or every runner in the state at a distance — and export the answer.

Coverage

Starting in Ohio. Not stopping there.

Ohio is where we start — youth clubs, middle schools, and every high school division, from the first invitational of the season through the state meet. Nothing in the engine is Ohio-specific, so every state after it follows the same path.

Youth

Club & all-comers

Club programs, elementary meets, invitationals, and summer track series — the races that have never had a searchable record behind them.

Middle school

Duals & league meets

Cross country and track, tied to the same athlete profile a runner carries forward into high school rather than starting over.

High school

Regular season to state

Every division, every week: leagues, districts, regionals, and the state meet — indoor and outdoor track alongside cross country.

A look ahead

What a row will look like.

results.where(state = "OH", level = "high_school", event = "xc_5k").sort(time asc) mock-up
Mock-up of an Ohio high school cross country result set, ranked by time
Athlete School Grade 5,000 m PR delta
E. Brandt Maple Creek 11 15:42 −0:18
D. Whitmore Clearfield 12 15:58 −0:04
A. Navarro Harbor Ridge 10 16:11 −0:33
T. Okoro Stonebridge 9 16:24 −1:02
C. Yoder Miller Valley 12 16:30 +0:07

A mock-up, not live data — the athletes and schools are invented. This is the shape we are building toward: PR delta compares a result with the athlete's previous best, so negative values are improvements.
